A Poem And A Mistake (2022)

co-creator / solo performer / producer

"You'll never think of classical literature again without these women coming into your head..."

- "The Sydney Morning Herald"

It began as a play and was transformed into a hybrid film/play when commissioned by the Australian Center for Contemporary Arts (ACCA) to be part of their exhibition "A Biography of Daphne". Made on a shoe-string budget, it captures the essence of a live performance on camera: shot in one location, with extremely long takes, allowing for the theatricality of the storytelling to juxtapose the intimacy of the mostly close-up performance.
